The Engineer-in-Chief (Civil), Odisha has invited a tender for the improvement of Jaleswar Bypass Road (Chalanti–Sukania) in the Balasore district. The project covers the Medium Density Road (MDR) from 1/300 km to 8/000 km, aimed at strengthening road infrastructure under the State Plan.
This vital road stretch plays a key role in local and regional connectivity, easing traffic flow and enhancing access to nearby areas. The project is expected to significantly benefit commuters, transport services, and economic activity in the region.
The financial bid was officially opened on 3rd February 2025 by the EIC-Civil. Among the bidders, Mr. Sanjeeb Kumar Nayak quoted the lowest value, emerging as the most competitive bidder.
The estimated cost of the project stands at approximately INR 165267342.5. Once completed, the upgraded road is set to improve transport efficiency and contribute to the overall development of Balasore district.
