The New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA) has floated a vital infrastructure tender aimed at improving urban drainage systems in the city’s rapidly developing sectors. This tender forms part of NOIDA’s ongoing mission to modernize civic amenities and enhance flood resilience in high-density areas.
The project involves the maintenance and upgradation of a major drain, specifically the construction of an RCC open drain in place of the existing damaged brick drain. The targeted stretch lies along the 45.00-meter-wide road (RHS), extending from Sector-142 Metro Station (near Advant) to Metro Pillar No. 469 in front of Sector-144.
This area sees heavy vehicular movement and is surrounded by key commercial and residential developments, making efficient drainage essential to prevent waterlogging and structural deterioration. The upgrade from brick to RCC will enhance durability and long-term performance.
The financial bids were opened on 9th June 2025, and S R Constructions submitted the lowest bid, demonstrating both competitiveness and capability in executing public utility projects of this scale.
The project carries a total quoted value of ₹183695673.2, and once completed, will significantly boost drainage infrastructure and urban service delivery in Noida’s growing southern sectors.
