The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), in collaboration with its P5 Delhi / LWE division, RO Bhubaneswar, and NH Odisha PWD-Kesinga, has invited a tender for a key road development project in Odisha. The project involves the widening and strengthening of an existing road section on National Highway 353 (NH-353), specifically within the Khariar Road town portion.
The work scope includes the upgradation of the road from Km 67/400 to Km 70/400, converting the current 2-lane road with paved shoulders into a 4-lane road with paved shoulders. This enhancement aims to accommodate increasing traffic, reduce congestion, and improve road safety in the region. The project will be executed under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) mode.
The financial bid for this tender was opened on February 19, 2025. Among the competing firms, RAPS Infratech Pvt. Ltd. quoted the lowest bid, emerging as the front-runner for undertaking this important infrastructure initiative.
The project’s estimated value is around ₹21.86 crore(218600000). Once completed, it is expected to significantly improve connectivity and reduce travel time for residents and transporters along the NH-353 corridor in Odisha.
