The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), through its P3 Delhi and RO Ranchi offices, has invited a tender for the construction of a bypass around Giridih town on National Highway-114A in Jharkhand. The proposed work involves the development of a 2-lane road with paved shoulders, covering a total stretch from km 0.000 to km 23.835 as per the design chainage, under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) mode.
This infrastructure project is a part of the government’s broader vision to decongest urban areas, improve regional road connectivity, and promote smoother vehicular movement. The bypass around Giridih is expected to significantly ease traffic flow through the town and enhance travel efficiency for commuters and freight operators.
The financial bid for the project was officially opened on February 28, 2025, by MoRTH. After evaluation, Ramiya Construction Pvt. Ltd. emerged as the lowest bidder, offering a competitive quote to undertake the construction work.
The total estimated value of the project is approximately ₹198.79 crore (1987944444). Once completed, the bypass will contribute to the region’s infrastructure growth and support long-term economic development in Jharkhand.
