The Public Works Department (PWD) – Chief Engineer and Additional Secretary (CE AND AS) has invited a crucial tender for the strengthening of a key inter-district road connecting two national highways in Rajasthan. This infrastructure initiative is designed to improve transportation between Deh (NH-58) and Genana (NH-458), passing through several strategically located villages.
The proposed road route includes Kheda, Chhapara, Rotu, Gorau, Sandas, and Malgaon, making it a vital corridor for daily commuters, commercial vehicles, and agricultural movement. Strengthening this road will address longstanding concerns of surface degradation, waterlogging, and load-bearing inefficiencies.
Once completed, this project is expected to ensure smoother travel, reduced travel times, and safer transportation in this rural stretch. The work involves upgrading the road’s pavement quality and reinforcing its structure to withstand heavy use and seasonal challenges.
The financial bid was officially opened on 9th June 2025 at the PWD headquarters under CE AND AS oversight. After thorough technical and financial scrutiny, Shri Nema Ram Barala was announced as the lowest responsive bidder for the contract.
The total quoted cost of the project stands at ₹24,10,00,614.7, reflecting a significant investment in rural connectivity and national highway linkage.
