The Delhi Development Authority (DDA), through the Chief Engineer, Dwarka Zone and the Executive Engineer, SWD-8, Central Nursery Dwarka, has invited a tender for the remodeling of footpaths along MP Roads. The work involves raising the footpaths to the standard height as per IRC guidelines, within the jurisdiction of DMD-II. This project aims to enhance pedestrian safety, accessibility, and uniformity across the designated stretches of MP Roads.
Ensuring that footpaths meet prescribed IRC standards is crucial for maintaining road discipline and pedestrian convenience. Properly elevated and aligned pathways help in preventing waterlogging during rains, discourage encroachments, and provide a safe walking space for daily commuters, senior citizens, and differently-abled individuals.
The financial bid for this tender was opened on 11th July 2025 by the concerned DDA authorities. The minimum value was quoted by Naresh Kumar Aggarwal, positioning the firm as the potential lowest bidder for execution of this project.
Once executed, this initiative is expected to significantly improve pedestrian infrastructure in Dwarka and surrounding areas, aligning with DDA’s efforts to modernize urban infrastructure while ensuring compliance with national guidelines.
The total estimated project value stands at ₹14,94,39,596.7, reflecting a substantial investment in improving non-motorized transport facilities and enhancing last-mile connectivity in the capital.
