Mahadev Construction Got A Project: Widening and Strengthening of single lane road to double lane road from Kharda-Rajpura-Sheruna-Rajedu

The Public Works Department (PWD) – Chief Engineer & Additional Secretary (CE & AS), in coordination with ACE–Bikaner, SE–Churu, and EE–Churu, has invited a tender for the widening and strengthening of an existing single-lane road into a double-lane carriageway on MDR-298. The project stretch extends from Kharda–Rajpura–Sheruna–Rajedu, covering chainage Km 22/0 to 88/900, and forms an important regional road corridor in Churu district.
This corridor connects several rural and semi-urban settlements and plays a key role in facilitating daily commuting, agricultural transport, and inter-district movement. Upgrading the road to double-lane standards will improve traffic capacity, enhance riding quality, and significantly reduce travel time. The project is also expected to improve road safety by providing better pavement structure and alignment.
The financial bid for the tender was opened on 17th October 2025 by PWD – CE & AS under the administrative supervision of ACE–Bikaner, SE–Churu, and EE–Churu. Following the evaluation process, Mahadev Construction Company emerged as the lowest bidder, quoting the minimum value for execution of the work. The tendering process reflects transparency and adherence to departmental procurement norms.
The total project cost stands at Rs. 741,133,514.1, marking a substantial investment in strengthening the road infrastructure of Churu district. Upon completion, the upgraded MDR-298 corridor is expected to boost regional connectivity, support economic activities, and ensure safer and more efficient transportation.
