The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), in coordination with P1 Delhi, RO Dehradun, and the NH Uttarakhand PWD-NH Section, Dehradun, has floated a tender for a critical infrastructure development project in Uttarakhand. The project involves strengthening works from design chainage 18.700 to 21.850 (equivalent to existing km 16.545 to 19.695) on NH-107 (previously NH-109). In addition to road strengthening, the construction of retaining walls (R/wall) and breast walls (B/wall) is also part of the scope.
This work has been initiated under the Annual Plan for National Highway (Original) [NH(O)] Works for the year 2024โ€“25. The objective of the project is to improve road stability and prevent erosion and landslides in hilly terrain, ensuring safer and more reliable travel for commuters in the region.
The financial bids for the project were opened on 11th February 2025. The tender saw multiple contenders, and after thorough evaluation, the lowest bid was submitted by M/s V K Aggarwal, making them the leading contender for contract allocation.
The estimated cost of the project is approximately โ‚น12.99 crore(129912000). This development is expected to significantly enhance road infrastructure and safety on the NH-107 stretch in Uttarakhand.
