The PWD – CE & AS, ACE Ajmer, SE Bhilwara, and EE-I Bhilwara invited a tender for the Widening and Strengthening of the Kota–Jahazpur via Bijoliya–Shakkargarh Road (MDR-41) covering two stretches: Km 13/0 to 18/500 and Km 20/500 to 39/0. This major district road is an important regional link for daily commuters, inter-town connectivity, and movement of local agricultural and commercial goods across Bhilwara, Bijoliya, Shakkargarh, and adjoining areas. Upgradation of this key corridor has become essential due to increased traffic load and the deteriorating condition of the existing pavement.
The project focuses on improving riding quality, travel safety, and overall road durability, thereby enhancing accessibility between major settlements and reducing travel time. Strengthening of the existing road is also expected to stimulate economic activity, support rural development, and boost connectivity between Kota and Jahazpur through a more reliable and efficient transport network.
The financial bid for the project was opened on 15th September 2025 by the executing authorities under the Ajmer Zone. M/s UTSAV CONSTRUCTION emerged as the lowest bidder, securing the contract for the planned upgrades. The total project value stands at ₹468,257,083.1, reflecting the scale and importance of the improvement works proposed on MDR-41.
