The Public Works Department (PWD) – CE and AS, through the offices of the ACE Kota, SE Kota, and EE Ramganj Mandi, invited a tender for the widening and strengthening of MDR 253. The specific stretch under development runs from Km 15/0 to Km 33/500, covering the road from Amjhar, Khedli, Chechat, Madanpura, and Goynda to the Madhya Pradesh border, in District Kota.
This corridor serves as a key regional connector, linking rural settlements and facilitating cross-border movement between Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The widening and strengthening of this stretch will not only improve road safety but also enhance trade and commuting efficiency.
The project scope includes road widening, pavement strengthening, drainage provision, and safety features in accordance with modern engineering standards. These works will significantly boost the durability of MDR 253 while ensuring smoother vehicular flow.
The tender financial bid was opened on 7th August 2025 with several contractors competing. Upon evaluation, M/s Tirupati Enterprises was declared the lowest bidder, securing the award for the project execution.
The total value of this project is ₹32,04,92,113.3, representing a substantial investment in strengthening road infrastructure in Kota district.
