The Chief Engineer, Agra Zone – PWD Uttar Pradesh, in coordination with the Mainpuri Circle PWD and Provincial Division, Mainpuri, invited a tender for a major urban infrastructure project. The scope of work includes the construction of a 2-lane road with paved shoulders as part of the South Bypass for Mainpuri City, designed to decongest inner-city traffic and improve regional connectivity.
This bypass project is expected to ease vehicular movement around Mainpuri city by diverting through traffic away from residential and commercial zones. The 2-lane configuration with paved shoulders will enhance road safety and durability, especially for freight and long-distance transport. It also forms part of broader plans to modernize city infrastructure under Uttar Pradesh’s development agenda.
The financial bid for this project was opened on 29th April 2025, with participation from several qualified infrastructure firms. The bid evaluation was conducted by PWD officials from the Agra Zone, Mainpuri Circle, and the Provincial Division to ensure transparency and procedural compliance.
M/s Raj Laxmi Enterprises submitted the lowest bid, emerging as the L1 contractor for the project. The estimated cost for this infrastructure development is Rs. 44,77,32,310, and the project is set to proceed once formal award procedures are completed.
