The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), through the Narora Atomic Power Station and its Centralised Tendering Cell, has invited a tender for the construction of a bituminous road from Silhari Mod to Ratanpur under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The project aims to strengthen basic road infrastructure in the surrounding rural areas and improve accessibility for local communities.
The proposed bituminous road will play an important role in facilitating smoother movement of people, agricultural produce, and essential services between Silhari Mod and Ratanpur. As part of NPCIL’s CSR activities, the project reflects the organization’s commitment to inclusive development, improved connectivity, and enhancement of living standards in areas located near its operational facilities. The upgraded road is expected to reduce travel time, improve riding quality, and ensure safer transportation.
The financial bid for the tender was opened on 17th October 2025 by NPCIL through its Centralised Tendering Cell at Narora Atomic Power Station. After evaluation of the submitted bids, M/s Naushey Ali Contractor emerged as the lowest bidder, quoting the minimum value for execution of the work. The tendering process was carried out following established procurement procedures to ensure transparency and fairness.
The total project cost is Rs. 149,895,500, marking a significant investment under NPCIL’s CSR framework. Upon completion, the road is expected to enhance regional connectivity, support socio-economic activities, and provide long-term benefits to the local population.
