The Public Works Department (PWD), under the Chief Engineer and Additional Secretary (CE & AS), through the Additional Chief Engineer, Jodhpur, and Superintending Engineer, Jodhpur, has invited a tender for the widening of the Jakhan–Bapini–Kadwa–Bedu–Kerla–Barsingo Ka Bas–Maylo Ki Dhani road. The project covers a stretch from Km 0/0 to Km 46/0, forming an important rural and regional road network in Rajasthan.
This road widening project aims to improve connectivity across remote villages and settlements, enhancing access to markets, healthcare, and essential services. The upgraded road is expected to support smoother traffic movement, improve road safety, and facilitate socio-economic development in the surrounding areas by strengthening rural transport infrastructure.
The financial bid for the tender opened on 3rd October 2025, as per NIT No. 12/2025-26 of ACE PWD Zone-I, Jodhpur. The tender process attracted several contractors due to the project’s substantial length and regional importance. Following evaluation of the bids, M/s Manoj Construction Co. emerged as the lowest quoting bidder.
The total project value is Rs. 291,342,250.3, reflecting a significant investment by the Rajasthan PWD in improving road infrastructure. Upon completion, the widened road will enhance travel efficiency, reduce transportation challenges, and contribute to long-term regional development in the Jodhpur zone.
