The Public Works Department (PWD) – Chief Engineer and Additional Secretary (CE AND AS) has initiated a key infrastructure development tender aimed at improving rural road connectivity in Rajasthan. This strategic initiative focuses on boosting transportation infrastructure through widening and strengthening works in select routes.
The project involves the widening and strengthening of the road stretch from Kasnau (SH-92A) to Mataji, passing through Dehri, Tarnau, and Merwas. This corridor plays an important role in regional movement, serving both residential settlements and agricultural zones, and supporting local commerce and transport logistics.
With increasing vehicular pressure and seasonal road degradation, this development aims to enhance the overall quality and durability of the road. The upgraded road is expected to reduce travel time, improve safety, and ensure uninterrupted connectivity throughout the year, especially during monsoon seasons.
The financial bid for the project was officially opened on 3rd June 2025, under the oversight of PWD – CE AND AS. After reviewing the technical and financial qualifications, M/S Mahaveer Godara was declared the lowest responsive bidder.
The total quoted value for this road infrastructure project stands at ₹14,13,20,359.2, reflecting the state government’s continued investment in strengthening rural transport networks.
