The Public Works Roads Department has issued a tender for the construction of a Road Over Bridge (ROB) to replace the existing railway level crossing at Gate No. ST-133 (Railway Km-498/7-8) on the Namrup–Naharkatiya Road in Dibrugarh District. This project falls under the initiative for Construction of ROBs on a 50:50 cost-sharing basis, a collaborative model aimed at improving transportation infrastructure and safety.

The evaluation process was carried out by the Public Works Roads Department with a focus on both cost-effectiveness and project feasibility.
Among the bidders, M/S. M.P. AGARWALLA quoted the minimum bid and is currently positioned as the leading contender. The estimated value of the project stands at approximately ₹51.67 crore(516712244.4), indicating a substantial investment in regional infrastructure.
