The Road Construction Department (RCD), under the Engineer-in-Chief (EinC) and Chief Engineer (Comm), invited a tender for the construction of a four-lane road, including bridge works, from Argoda (Old Argoda Chowk) on MDR-018 to Nayasarain (Ring Road) on MDR-013 via Pundag Road, covering a total length of 6.175 km for the financial year 2025–26.
This infrastructure initiative aims to decongest urban traffic, enhance road connectivity, and facilitate smoother vehicular movement between key junctions in the region. The inclusion of bridge construction within the project ensures improved accessibility and continuity of transport routes, particularly during adverse weather conditions. The widened four-lane configuration is expected to accommodate growing traffic volumes, reduce travel time, and support the economic development of surrounding areas through better logistics and commuting efficiency.
The financial bid for the project was opened on 26th September 2025 by RCD EinC||RCD CE Comm, where M/s Jaimata Dee Construction emerged as the lowest bidder. The total project value is estimated at ₹25,47,91,738.6 (₹25.47 crore).
