M/s Jai Prakash Singh Contractor Got A Project: Widening and strengthening work of 04 lane road from the main gate of Maa Pateshwari Devi Temple

The Chief Engineer, Devipatan (Gonda) Zone, PWD Gonda, along with the Superintending Engineer, Gonda Circle, has invited a tender for the Widening and Strengthening of the 4-lane road from the main gate of Maa Pateshwari Devi Temple to the Balrampur Sugar Mill in Tulsipur Vidhan Sabha, Balrampur district. This corridor is an important religious, commercial, and public-utility route, serving thousands of daily commuters, pilgrims, and transport vehicles. Upgrading this entire stretch is expected to greatly enhance traffic capacity and safety.
The project includes widening the existing road to a uniform 4-lane profile, strengthening pavement layers, improving surface quality, and enhancing overall road geometry. Additional works such as drainage improvement, shoulder development, median work, and safety installations like signage and markings form a major part of the upgrade. The improved corridor will ensure smoother flow of vehicles between the temple area and the sugar mill, both of which generate heavy local and seasonal traffic.
The financial bid opening is scheduled for 24th September 2025, under the supervision of the Chief Engineer, Devipatan Zone, and the SE Gonda Circle. Multiple bidders participated due to the developmental importance of this route in the Balrampur region, especially considering its mix of cultural significance and industrial connectivity.
Among all bidders, M/s Jai Prakash Singh Contractor quoted the lowest bid, emerging as the minimum value bidder. The total project cost stands at ₹22,56,26,382.7, representing a substantial investment in strengthening regional infrastructure and improving the urban-rural transport network.
