The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), through its P5 Delhi / LWE division, in coordination with the Regional Office (RO) Raipur and NH Chhattisgarh PWD-Raipur, has floated an important tender focused on strategic road development in the Left Wing Extremism (LWE) affected region of Chhattisgarh. This initiative falls under MoRTH’s priority to enhance connectivity and mobility in underdeveloped areas.
The project pertains to the construction and upgradation of a 10.270 km stretch on the Narayanpur–Kasturmeta–Kutul Road, which is part of National Highway 130D. The specific section under development extends from Km 70.450 to Km 80.720. The road serves as a vital link between remote tribal areas and regional centers, contributing to both economic development and national security.
The scope involves converting the existing road into a two-lane to four-lane configuration with paved shoulders. This will significantly improve road capacity, ensure better movement of goods and services, and support socio-economic upliftment in the region.
The financial bid was opened on 10th June 2025. M/s Ganesh Prasad Khetan quoted the lowest bid for this crucial project. The total estimated value stands at ₹684218995.
This development marks another step in MoRTH’s mission to bridge infrastructure gaps in LWE-impacted areas.
