The Public Works Department (PWD) – Roads and Bridges, under the Chief Engineer, Ujjain Zone, has invited a tender for the widening and upgradation of the Suwasra–Guradiakala Road via Angari Road in Mandsaur Division. The project covers a total length of 22.50 km and includes associated works such as electrical pole shifting, which are essential for smooth execution and future road safety.
This road corridor is an important regional link supporting daily commuter traffic, agricultural transportation, and local trade movement. The proposed widening and upgradation aim to improve road geometry, pavement strength, and overall riding quality, ensuring better traffic capacity and enhanced safety standards for road users across the Mandsaur region.
The financial bid for the tender opened on 29th October 2025, with the bidding process managed by the PWD Roads and Bridges wing under the Ujjain CE Zone. Due to the project’s scale and strategic relevance, it attracted participation from experienced infrastructure contractors capable of handling long-stretch road improvement works. After detailed financial evaluation, M/s Dhundhwal Brothers emerged as the lowest bidder.
The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 322,261,584.3, representing a significant investment in strengthening Madhya Pradesh’s road infrastructure. Upon completion, the upgraded road will enhance connectivity, reduce travel time, and support long-term regional development in Mandsaur district.
