The Public Works Department (PWD) – Chief Engineer and Additional Secretary (CE AND AS) has invited a significant tender for the strengthening and widening of a crucial rural road corridor. This road passes through several villages and hamlets, connecting diverse regions across Rajasthan and improving intra-district mobility.
The proposed project covers the Kharnal – Barangaon – Basni – Singar – Goganada – Alay – Kaladi – Jakhaniya – Shri Balaji – Bukaramsota – Bayaji ka Rohida – Sewadi – Bordi ka Kuwa – Peepasar – Rohini Road. This corridor is vital for both local transport and regional logistics, serving as a link between agricultural zones and market hubs.
The initiative is expected to greatly enhance rural road durability, width, and load-bearing capacity, ensuring smoother transportation for both passenger and freight vehicles. Once completed, it will reduce travel time and improve safety, especially during monsoon seasons when such stretches typically degrade.
The financial bid was officially opened on 6th June 2025, under the PWD – CE AND AS authority. Multiple contractors participated, but after technical and financial evaluations, M/s Devilal Choudhary emerged as the lowest bidder.
The total quoted value for this comprehensive road improvement project stands at ₹35,45,65,847.4, highlighting a substantial state-level investment in rural infrastructure.
