The Public Works Department (PWD) – Chief Engineer and Additional Secretary (CE AND AS) has issued a tender for a key road infrastructure upgrade project aimed at boosting connectivity in rural Rajasthan. The tender focuses on the widening and strengthening of the road from Kharnal to Dhundhiyadi, covering several important villages en route.
The route includes Paldi Vyasa, Mundiyad, Modi Kaliyas, and Bhadora, which form a vital corridor for local residents, farmers, and transporters. The proposed work is expected to enhance the structural quality and surface conditions of the road, which currently faces issues related to narrow width and surface wear.
The project’s scope includes widening the road to improve capacity and strengthening it to ensure long-term durability under increasing traffic loads. This development will significantly benefit the local economy by ensuring smoother movement of agricultural produce, goods, and passengers.
The financial bid for this project was opened on 6th June 2025, under the supervision of PWD – CE AND AS. After technical review and bid evaluation, M/s Choyal Construction was declared the lowest qualified bidder.
The total cost of the project is quoted at ₹22,93,65,618.8, representing a strategic investment in improving essential road infrastructure in the region.
