The Department of Agriculture, Punjab Mandi Board, through the office of the XEN (Civil), Bathinda, invited a tender for the special repair of various rural link roads falling under the jurisdiction of MC Mansa and Sardulgarh. This project is part of the state’s ongoing initiative to strengthen and modernize rural connectivity.
The road network in these areas plays a vital role in linking villages to markets, schools, healthcare centers, and other essential services. The special repair works will address deterioration caused by overuse and weather, ensuring smoother travel, improved safety, and reliable access for rural populations.
The scope of work includes resurfacing, patchwork, strengthening of pavements, drainage repairs, and culvert improvements. These measures aim to increase the durability of the rural road network, enhance agricultural transportation, and reduce travel time for local commuters.
The financial bid for this project was opened on 22nd August 2025 by Punjab Mandi Board. After the evaluation process, M/s Bhullar Constructions was identified as the lowest bidder, securing the contract for execution.
The total value of the project is ₹43,63,77,913.7, marking a significant investment in rural infrastructure development in Mansa and Sardulgarh.
