The Public Works Department (PWD) – Chief Engineer & Additional Secretary (CE & AS) has invited a tender for the widening and strengthening of the Jhintiya (MDR-242) to Sanju (SH-60) road via Jarau, Mankiyawas, Jesas, Lampolai, Raliyawata, Dholeraw, Morra, and Ren (MDR-225). This corridor is an important regional link connecting Major District Roads with a State Highway, facilitating smooth movement across rural and semi-urban areas.
The project scope covers a road length from Km 0/0 to Km 17/0 and focuses on improving pavement strength, widening the carriageway, and upgrading overall road geometry. The proposed works aim to enhance riding quality, improve road safety, and accommodate increasing traffic volumes. Upon completion, the upgraded corridor is expected to reduce travel time and provide safer, all-weather connectivity for local commuters and commercial vehicles.
