The Chief Engineer, Jhansi Zone, PWD Jhansi (U.P.), in collaboration with Chitrakoot Dhaam Mandal – Banda Circle and Construction Division 2, PWD Banda, has invited a significant tender for road infrastructure enhancement in Banda district. This project is part of the state’s continued focus on strengthening connectivity across rural and semi-urban areas.
The scope of work involves the widening and strengthening of Baberu–Tindwari–Sumerpur Road (State Highway 134). The targeted stretch extends from Km 32 (Ch. 31.520) to Km 65 (Ch. 64.020). Alongside the main construction, the contract also includes five years of post-construction maintenance, ensuring long-term road sustainability and quality.
This corridor is vital for intra-district travel and supports agricultural, commercial, and daily commuter traffic. Enhancing this stretch will significantly reduce travel time and boost economic activities in the region by improving road reliability and safety.
The financial bid was opened on 13th June 2025. Among the contenders, M/s Anmol Associates emerged as the lowest bidder, highlighting their interest and capacity in executing major highway development projects.
