The Directorate of Town and Country Planning, through the Ujjain Development Authority (UDA), Ujjain, has invited a significant tender for the construction of a cement concrete (CC) road. The planned route will extend from Shankaracharya Chauraha via Datt Akhada, Bhookhi Mata, Ujjadkheda Hanuman, and connect to the Ujjain–Badnagar Road, covering key areas in and around Ujjain city.
This infrastructure development aims to improve urban mobility and provide a durable, all-weather road surface for heavy traffic flow. The CC road construction will enhance commuting efficiency, reduce travel time, and contribute to the long-term sustainability of the road network. It will also facilitate better access to religious, residential, and commercial zones, boosting both local connectivity and tourism prospects in Ujjain.
The tender’s financial bid was officially opened on 18th July 2025, adhering to standard procurement protocols. The project received bids from multiple contractors, indicating its importance and scale within the region’s infrastructure planning.
Among the bids received, the lowest value was quoted by M/s Amit Jindal, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining adherence to technical specifications and quality benchmarks.
With a total project value of ₹390,299,903.5, this initiative stands as a major investment in Ujjain’s urban infrastructure development for the 2025-26 period.
