The Public Works Department (PWD) – Roads and Bridges, under the Ujjain CE Ujjain Zone, has invited a tender for the construction of four-laning of the A.B. Road (Old NH-3) in the Shajapur city portion, covering a total stretch of 10.00 kilometres. The project also includes the construction of a high-level bridge and pole shifting works to facilitate the widened carriageway. It falls under the jurisdiction of the Division Shajapur.
This large-scale infrastructure initiative aims to boost traffic capacity, enhance road safety, and ensure better connectivity for both local and long-distance travelers. The addition of a high-level bridge will improve crossing over challenging terrain or water bodies, while the pole shifting will ensure a clear and obstruction-free roadway.
The tender process was undertaken by PWD – Roads and Bridges, Ujjain CE Ujjain Zone, with the financial bid opening scheduled for 28th July 2025. Given the project’s size and complexity, it drew interest from several experienced contractors.
Following evaluation, Kushwah Construction Company emerged as the lowest bidder for executing the works. Their selection reflects confidence in their technical capacity and proven track record in large infrastructure projects.
The estimated project value stands at ₹59,00,91,214, making it a major investment in strengthening Shajapur’s transport infrastructure.
