The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), through its P6 Delhi, RO Mumbai, and NH Maharashtra PWD-Solapur divisions, has invited a tender for a Performance-Based Maintenance Contract (PBMC) in the state of Maharashtra. The project focuses on the upkeep and long-term maintenance of crucial segments of National Highway 561A, a vital route supporting regional and inter-district traffic flow.
The contract covers two major sections of the highway. Part A includes the Tembhurni to Pandharpur section, stretching from Km 0.000 to Km 36.190, with a total length of 36.190 km. Part B extends from Km 42.500 to Km 60.000 and then from Km 64.500 to Km 95.136, adding another 48.136 km to the maintenance scope. Together, both parts span over 84 km of critical road infrastructure.
The financial bid for this PBMC project was opened on February 14, 2025. Following the evaluation of bids, KCC Infra Private Limited emerged as the lowest bidder, making them the top contender to execute the maintenance responsibilities.
The total project value is estimated at approximately ₹30.15 crore(301518709.8). This initiative reflects MoRTH’s continued commitment to performance-driven infrastructure management and enhanced road quality for safer and smoother commutes.
