JK Associates Got A Project:WIDENING/IMPROVEMENT OF EXISTING ROAD TO NHDL SPECIFICATIONS OF ROAD

The Directorate General Border Roads Organisation (BRO), under HQ CE(P) Udayak (Doom Dooma), has issued a tender for a critical infrastructure project in Arunachal Pradesh. The scope of work includes widening and improvement of the existing road to National Highway Double Lane (NHDL) specifications for the Changwinti–Walong–Namti road from Km 0.000 to Km 54.450, and a stretch of Hayuliang–Changwinti between Km 45.050 to Km 50.820, now renamed as the Hawai Junction–Namti Road, with a net design length of 59.302 km.
This project is of strategic and logistical importance, aiming to improve road connectivity along the sensitive border areas of northeastern India. The upgrade to NHDL standards will facilitate faster troop and material movement, promote local development, and enhance resilience during natural calamities or national emergencies.
The financial bid for the project was opened on 23rd April 2025, with active supervision from BRO’s HQ CE(P) Udayak. JK Associates emerged as the lowest bidder, meeting the technical and financial benchmarks set by the tendering authority.
The total value of the project is ₹2784400000, making it one of the most significant recent investments in border infrastructure development under the BRO’s mandate.
