Meerut Municipal Corporation, Uttar Pradesh, has invited a tender for the Integrated Development and Upgradation of the road from Baghpat Road via Transport Nagar to Delhi Road under the C.M. Grids Scheme. This corridor plays a vital role in connecting major commercial, industrial, and residential zones within Meerut city. Upgrading the stretch is expected to significantly enhance mobility, reduce congestion, and support smooth movement of goods and passenger traffic.
The project covers comprehensive redevelopment activities including road widening, strengthening of existing layers, resurfacing, drainage system upgrades, and improvement of junctions along key points of the corridor. As this route supports transport hubs like Transport Nagar, the improved infrastructure will provide better accessibility for heavy vehicles and enhance connectivity to Delhi Road, one of the city’s major outgoing corridors. The upgrade will also enhance safety, reduce travel time, and support long-term urban development.
The financial bid opening is scheduled for 17th September 2025, conducted by the Meerut Municipal Corporation. Several contractors participated due to the strategic importance of this urban transport route and its influence on citywide mobility. The detailed evaluation will ensure that the selected bidder can deliver quality improvement work within the planned timeframe.
Among all bidders, Jeet Construction emerged as the lowest quoted bidder, offering the minimum financial value for the project. The total project cost stands at ₹27,21,60,702.1, marking a significant investment toward strengthening the city’s road infrastructure and improving urban connectivity under the C.M. Grids Scheme.
