The Road Construction Department (RCD) under the Engineer-in-Chief and Chief Engineer (Communication) invited a tender for the widening, strengthening, and reconstruction of the Pakur–Barharwa Main Road connecting the 12th km of NH-133A to Pali Gagan Pahadi (West Bengal Border) via Kushma Fatak Road. The project, with a total length of 6.630 km, falls under the Road Division Pakur for the year 2025–26 and aims to enhance regional connectivity.
The scope of work includes road widening, pavement strengthening, and reconstruction of the existing roadway along with associated works such as drainage systems, culverts, and road safety features. The project is designed to improve traffic flow, ensure safer transportation, and support economic activities by strengthening connectivity between Jharkhand and the West Bengal border.
As per the tender details, the financial bid was opened on 19 March 2026 by the RCD authorities. After evaluation of bids submitted by contractors, Hakim Momion emerged as the lowest bidder, quoting the minimum value for execution of the project.
The total project value stands at Rs. 252,945,669.26, reflecting a significant investment in road infrastructure development. Upon completion, the upgraded road will facilitate smoother transportation, reduce travel time, and contribute to regional development in the Pakur area.
