The Public Works Department (PWD), 3rd Circle Pithoragarh, has invited a tender for significant strengthening works on key road sections under the Central Road Infrastructure Fund (CRIF). This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to improve connectivity and ensure safer travel in hilly regions.
The project includes strengthening by Bituminous Macadam (BM) and Bituminous Concrete (BC) on State Highway-60, covering the Pithoragarh division stretch from Thal to Satsiling, with a total length of 49.40 km. Additionally, the tender covers improvement works on State Highway-11, specifically the Thal–Tejam section from Km 152.00 to Km 173.500, spanning 21.50 km. The combined strengthening of both highways will significantly contribute to regional connectivity, aiding trade, tourism, and daily commutes.
