The Directorate General Border Roads Organisation (BRO), through HQ CE (P) Deepak, Shimla, has invited a tender for the construction and improvement of the existing Sansari–Killar–Thirot–Tandi road. The project will be executed under 94 RCC, 38 BRTF, Project Deepak, in Lahaul-Spiti district, Himachal Pradesh, and will follow NHDL specifications on EPC mode.
The scope of work includes the improvement of a 30.370 km stretch, covering design chainage from Km 0.00 to Km 30.370. The road will be upgraded to Class 9 to NHDL specifications, ensuring improved safety, durability, and year-round accessibility in a strategically sensitive border district. This development is expected to significantly enhance connectivity for both civilian movement and defense logistics in the region.
The financial bid for this tender was opened on 31st July 2025 by BRO authorities. The process followed transparent competitive bidding norms to ensure quality execution and cost-effectiveness.
Garg & Garg Co. emerged as the lowest bidder for the project. Their bid was assessed as both technically sound and financially suitable for the scale of work involved in this critical infrastructure project.
