The Engineer-in-Chief Civil Odisha invited a tender for the Bolangir Kantabanji Bongomunda Chandotara Road Four Laning Project. The project involves the improvement, widening, and strengthening of the Bolangir–Kantabanji–Bongomunda–Chandotara Road from 2 lanes to 4 lanes covering the stretch from Km 5/50 to Km 37/0, excluding Km 12/070–12/470, Km 20/50–21/20, Km 31/90–32/50, and Km 33/420–33/820, in Balangir district, Odisha.
The scope of work includes widening the existing carriageway from two lanes to four lanes, pavement strengthening, construction of drainage systems, junction improvements, road safety installations, utility shifting, and other allied civil works. The project is aimed at increasing road capacity, reducing travel time, enhancing traffic safety, and supporting the movement of passengers and freight across the region.
As per the tender details, the financial bid was opened on 29 May 2026 by the Engineer-in-Chief (Civil), Odisha. Following evaluation of the bids submitted by participating contractors, DPS Contractors Private Limited emerged as the bidder quoting the minimum value for execution of the project.
The total project value stands at Rs. 1,198,851,000, reflecting a substantial investment in Odisha’s road infrastructure. Upon completion, the upgraded four-lane corridor will improve regional connectivity, facilitate smoother traffic flow, and contribute to the socio-economic development of Balangir district.
