The Haryana Government, through the office of the Engineer-in-Chief PW (B&R) Department, SE Karnal, and EE PD-2 Karnal, has invited a tender for the improvement of road infrastructure under the CRIF Scheme. The project is titled “DNIT – Improvement of Road by Providing and Strengthening on Assandh–Sirsal Road,” covering a stretch from Km 0 to Km 20.55. The scope of work also includes the construction and enhancement of four bridges located at RD 4.265, 9.795, 10.00, and 16.460.
This initiative is aimed at improving road durability and ensuring smoother connectivity between the towns of Assandh and Sirsal. The inclusion of bridge strengthening within the project ensures better load capacity and enhanced safety for all types of vehicles, addressing key concerns related to transport efficiency and long-term sustainability of road infrastructure in the region.
The financial bid for the project was officially opened on March 7, 2025. A number of contractors showed interest in the tender, reflecting the competitive nature of infrastructure projects in Haryana. The Public Works Department evaluated all bids with a focus on quality execution and cost-effectiveness.
Desh Deepak Contractor submitted the lowest bid for this project. The total estimated value stands at approximately ₹15.19 crore(151944953.4), making it a significant investment in the state’s road infrastructure.
