The Public Works Region – Nagpur, through the Public Works Circle, Nagpur, and the World Bank Project Division, Nagpur, has invited a tender for the construction of a flyover connecting Manewada Flyover to Mhalgi Nagar Flyover on the Inner Ring Road in Nagpur City, falling under State Highway-340 (SH-340). This project has been issued as a second call, highlighting its importance in the city’s urban transport planning.
The proposed flyover is intended to strengthen east–west connectivity within Nagpur and ease congestion on one of the city’s busiest inner ring road corridors. By providing grade-separated movement, the project will reduce traffic bottlenecks, improve travel speed, and enhance road safety for daily commuters. The flyover will also support smoother movement of public transport and emergency vehicles.
The financial bid for the tender opened on 28th October 2025, under the supervision of the World Bank Project Division, Nagpur. Due to the project’s scale, technical complexity, and funding framework, it attracted interest from experienced infrastructure developers. After evaluation of bids, the CS Construction – Khalatkar Construction Joint Venture emerged as the lowest bidder.
The total project value is Rs. 1,116,007,641, making it one of the significant urban infrastructure investments in Nagpur. Once completed, the flyover will play a crucial role in improving traffic efficiency and supporting long-term urban mobility in the city.
