The Chief Engineer, Rural Works-I (CE RW-I), Odisha, has invited a tender for the construction of a bridge over the Jalaka River at 1.00 km on the Olada to NH-60 (Rupsa) via Sanadhandi PR Road in Balasore district. The project is for the financial year 2024–25.
The project involves bridge construction on the specified road section to improve connectivity for local communities and facilitate smoother transportation. The bridge is expected to provide improved access along the Olada–Rupsa route via Sanadhandi and support the movement of residents and other road users in the surrounding areas.
The financial bid for the project was opened on 1st August 2026 by CE RW-I. C P Mohanty and Associates quoted the minimum value for the project and emerged as the minimum-value bidder.
The total project value is Rs. 134,741,393.9, equivalent to approximately Rs. 13.47 crore. The proposed bridge is expected to strengthen local road connectivity and improve transportation across the Jalaka River crossing in Balasore district.
