The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), through P3 Delhi, Regional Office Patna and NH Division–Lakhisarai, has invited a tender for Performance-Based Maintenance Contract (PBMC) work on NH-333. The project covers the stretch from Km 115.000 to Km 141.050 for the year 2024–25. This initiative aims to ensure consistent road serviceability, improved ride quality and reduced maintenance interruptions for traffic moving across this important national highway in the state of Bihar.
The scope of work involves maintaining pavement conditions, regular upkeep of shoulders, strengthening damaged road portions, cleaning of drainage systems and addressing safety-related road furniture requirements. By adopting the PBMC delivery model, the contractor is required to maintain defined performance standards throughout the contract period, ensuring transparency and better road user experience.
This maintenance program plays a vital role in supporting agricultural movement, freight logistics and regional mobility along NH-333. With consistent monitoring and performance-bound execution, the project is expected to enhance long-term durability of the highway infrastructure, reduce repair frequency and promote uninterrupted transportation for locals and commercial operators.
