Babu Lal and Company Got A Project : Construction of 5.4 KM long Open Main and lateral drains with CD works

The Water Resources Department (WRD) – CE and AS, in coordination with the Chief Engineer (CE) North WR Hanumangarh, Superintending Engineer (SE) WR Circle Sribijaynagar, and Executive Engineer (EE) Division-I Suratgarh, has invited a tender for a major drainage development project. The work involves the construction of a 5.4 km long open main and lateral drains with cross-drainage (CD) works, stretching from RD 96.400 of IGMC to RD 149 of GDC, along with the construction of a drainage siphon. This project falls under Zone-II (P-353).
The primary aim of the initiative is to address drainage congestion in the identified area. By establishing effective main and lateral drains supported by CD structures, the project will help in preventing waterlogging, ensuring smoother flow of excess water, and protecting agricultural as well as residential zones from flooding risks.
The financial bid for this tender was opened on 18th July 2025 by the concerned WRD officials. The process was carried out under strict transparency measures to finalize the most suitable contractor for the work.
Babu Lal and Company emerged as the lowest bidder for this project, offering a cost-efficient proposal that aligns with the technical requirements set by the department.
The total project value, as quoted by Babu Lal and Company, is ₹14,12,86,082.3, marking a substantial investment in regional drainage infrastructure.
