The EIC-Civil invited a tender for the construction of a high-level (H.L.) bridge over the Samkoi River at 16.000 km on the Godibandha–Kalanda Road in the District of Angul, under the State Plan. This project is an essential step toward improving the regional transportation network by providing a durable and safe crossing facility over the Samkoi River, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity for residents and commuters throughout the year.
The bridge construction will significantly enhance accessibility between local communities, promote smoother movement of goods and services, and support socio-economic development in the Angul district. It will also reduce travel time, improve safety during monsoon seasons, and strengthen the overall infrastructure resilience of the area.
The financial bid for this tender was opened on 1st September 2025 by the EIC-Civil, and the lowest bid was quoted by Amardeep Agarwalla. The total value of the project amounts to ₹262,477,711.9 (₹26.24 crore).
