AIC Infrastructures Got A Project: Maintenance and attending Potholes and bad patches of Eastern Express Highway and Eastern Freeway

The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai through its Roads and Traffic Department MCGM and the Deputy Chief Engineer Roads Planning MCGM invited a tender for the Eastern Express Highway and Eastern Freeway Maintenance Project. The project involves the maintenance of the Eastern Express Highway and Eastern Freeway, including the repair of potholes and damaged road patches to ensure safe and uninterrupted traffic movement.
The scope of work includes routine road maintenance, pothole filling, patch repair, restoration of damaged pavement sections, surface improvement, and other allied civil works. The project is aimed at improving road quality, enhancing commuter safety, reducing vehicle operating costs, and ensuring the smooth functioning of two of Mumbai’s major transport corridors.
As per the tender details, the financial bid was opened on 18 May 2026 by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. Following evaluation of the bids submitted by participating contractors, AIC Infrastructures emerged as the bidder quoting the minimum value for execution of the project.
The total project value stands at Rs. 147,400,000, reflecting a significant investment in road maintenance and urban transport infrastructure. Upon completion, the project will improve riding quality, reduce traffic disruptions caused by damaged road surfaces, and enhance the overall efficiency of Mumbai’s road network.
