The Road Construction Department (RCD), through RCD EinC||RCD CE Comm, has invited a tender for the improvement of riding quality of the Kharsawan–Kuchai–Dalbhanga Road (MDR-146) in Jharkhand. The project covers a total road length of 27.775 km, extending from Km 0.00 to Km 27.775. The work has been proposed for the financial year 2025-26, with the objective of improving road conditions and enhancing transportation facilities along this route.
The project focuses on improving the riding quality of the existing road to provide a smoother and more comfortable travel experience for commuters. Such road improvement works are important for maintaining surface quality, addressing road deterioration and improving driving conditions. According to the tender details, the financial bid was opened on 30 September 2026 by RCD EinC||RCD CE Comm. S K Tekriwal emerged as the lowest bidder, quoting a minimum value of Rs. 21,50,26,721.01 for the project. The total quoted project value is approximately Rs. 21.50 crore. The tender forms part of the department’s road improvement programme for the 2025-26 financial year.
The improvement of riding quality along this 27.775 km road is expected to contribute to better road usability and smoother connectivity for commuters and nearby communities. Upon completion, the work is intended to improve travel conditions along the Kharsawan–Kuchai–Dalbhanga corridor and support local transportation requirements in the region.
