The Haryana Government, through the Engineer-in-Chief, PW (B & R) Department, SE Karnal, and EE PD-1 Karnal, has invited a tender for the Strengthening of the Karnal–Kaithal Road (Road ID 7264, SH-08) from Km 17.100 to Km 42.000 in the Nilokheri Constituency, located within Karnal District. The work is sanctioned under the Work Programme 2025–26 and focuses on enhancing road strength, surface quality, and traffic endurance across this vital regional route.
The project involves the strengthening of the existing pavement using 50mm Dense Bituminous Macadam (DBM) and 40mm Bituminous Concrete (BC), along with the laying of 80mm interlocking paver blocks in selected stretches. These improvements are intended to ensure long-term road stability, minimize routine maintenance, and provide a safer, smoother driving surface suitable for high-traffic flow.
By reinforcing this key state highway, the project aims to improve regional transportation efficiency between Karnal and Kaithal, promoting economic growth and connectivity across surrounding towns and agricultural areas. The upgraded corridor will reduce travel time, enhance safety, and contribute to better rural–urban integration within the district.
The financial bid opened on 14th October 2025, with Vijay Kansal Contractor quoting the lowest bid value. The total cost of the project is Rs. 29,21,85,096, reflecting a significant investment in strengthening Haryana’s core road infrastructure network.
