PWD Floats Tender for Road Widening and Strengthening on MDR-41
The Public Works Department (PWD) – CE AND AS, along with ACE-Ajmer, SE-Shahpura, and EE-Shahpura, has invited a tender for the widening and strengthening of a critical section of MDR-41. The project will cover the road stretch from Saipipla to Shakkargarh, between Km 39/0 and Km 56/0, enhancing regional road infrastructure and improving traffic flow in the area.
This project aims to support increasing vehicle movement and ensure safer, smoother travel across this corridor. By upgrading the existing route, the initiative is expected to boost regional connectivity, facilitate easier movement of goods, and improve access to remote villages and market towns.
The financial bid for this tender was opened on 28th March 2025. The process was conducted under the supervision of PWD officials from the CE AND AS office and its associated divisions under the Ajmer zone. Several contractors expressed interest in undertaking this vital infrastructure project.
M/s Utsav Construction quoted the lowest bid and is likely to be awarded the contract. The total estimated cost of the project is approximately ₹22.11 crore (₹221,085,795.7), making it a significant step in upgrading regional road infrastructure in Shahpura and surrounding areas.
