The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), through its P3 Delhi, RO Kolkata, and NH West Bengal PWD-Siliguri divisions, has invited bids for a critical infrastructure development project in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal. The project pertains to various improvement works on National Highway 327 (Old NH-31C).
The scope of the project includes re-sectioning of the highway from km 0.00 to km 0.500, strengthening from km 0.00 to km 8.20 and km 15.00 to km 15.50, along with widening and strengthening between km 8.20 to km 15.00. These enhancements are essential for ensuring the durability and capacity of this key corridor, which connects remote and strategic regions in North Bengal.
The financial bid for this tender was officially opened on 19th February 2025 by MoRTH and its associated regional offices. Among the competing firms, Stone Concern Infrastructure Development Private Limited emerged as the lowest bidder for the project.
The total estimated value of the project stands at approximately INR 30.66 crore(306600000). The contract will be executed under the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) mode, aimed at time-bound delivery and quality construction standards.
